Anthony

Anthony Springford is the owner and director of Black Parrot Art Room. Anthony has had a convoluted career to date, including making art, university teaching and museum work.

Anthony has a PhD in Art History focusing on Rococo still life, aesthetics and social history. He also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Bachelor of Art Theory and a Graduate Diploma in Project Management. 

Anthony is in the shop most days, but he could be out painting, walking Atlas, the Bernese Mountain Dog, or on child care duty with his three boys. So if you have something especially precious or unusual to be framed and wish to discuss it with him personally, please call him on 0425 363 471.

Aaron

Aaron Zimmerman has worked for Black Parrot since 2015. Aaron has been a professional framer for over 15 years, and brings a wealth of experience and skill making frames for artworks, memorabilia, needlework and clothing. He is a fourth dan black belt in Karate so don’t sneak up and surprise him!
