"Starting in the baroque era some artists started representing the five senses in paint. Depicting musicians in the act of playing became particularly popular. This is my contemporary update of this genre. The work is an appropriation of a photo of one of the members of the electronica act Matmos who often use found sounds. There is a correlation between their technique and mine of using found imagery."
